Cognitive behavioral therapy

In cognitive behavioral therapy, we focus on exploring the interplay between the three levels of emotions, thoughts, and behavior. The ability for self-observation plays an important role here, as well as attention and learning processes. Just as we have learned certain behaviors over the years, we aim to learn alternative, functional behaviors while simultaneously influencing our thoughts. Within cognitive therapy, we work on changing distorted thinking patterns and building new, healthy thought patterns that will ultimately lead to positive changes in behavior and emotions.

In cognitive behavioral therapy, we specifically look at the three levels of emotions, thoughts, and behavior and try to understand their interaction in greater detail. The ability of self-observation plays an important role here, as do attention and learning processes. Just as we have learned a certain behavior over the years, we try to learn an alternative, functional behavior while also influencing our thoughts. There are numerous methods within cognitive behavioral therapy to implement this. After careful anamnesis and diagnosis, I will introduce these methods to you and we will work on them together in therapy. Below is an overview of the various conditions that can be treated with cognitive behavioral therapy:

Costs

The costs for therapy sessions are usually covered by statutory health insurance. For this purpose, it is first checked in the initial consultation before therapy and in the following four mandatory probatory sessions whether there is an indication for behavioral therapy. If this is the case, a consultation report is requested from your general practitioner (or specialist) for the clarification of medical causes and possible contraindications for psychotherapy. Then, the therapy is requested from the health insurance company.

Insured persons with private health insurance must clarify in advance with their insurance company whether and with what contingent psychotherapy is covered in their contract. Contingents vary greatly from insurance company to insurance company. The costs for the sessions are based on the fee schedule for psychotherapists (GOP). For a 50-minute session, the 2.3-fold rate is billed.

Self-payers receive a monthly invoice for the sessions. The costs here also follow the GOP. For a 50-minute session, the 2.3-fold rate is billed.
